As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it's gathered from disparate sources. We need a data professional like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence. As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your skills and experience to help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.Here, you'll work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll sharpen your skills in analytical exploration and data examination while you support the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.Work with us to use data for good.Join us. You Have:2+ years of experience writing sof tware in programming languages, including Python2+ years of experience with ETL operations, including on-premises or Cloud infrastructure1+ years of experience with source control and collaboration sof tware, including Git or Atlassian tools Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL or GraphQL Knowledge of automation and scripting on Linux or Windows operating systemsAbility to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degreeNice If You Have: Experience deploying analytics workloads on a platform as a service ( PaaS ) and sof tware as a service ( SaaS ) , including AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Databricks, SQL Data Warehouse, or machine learning serviceExperience with distributed or parallel programming frameworks, including Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDAExperience with infrastructure as code frameworks and services, including Terraform or CloudFormationExperience developing and presenting complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences and senior leadersExperience developing and deploying large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelinesExperience working with integrated groups comprised of customer success managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and sof tware engineersExperience with DoD information systemsMaster's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Sof tware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related fieldCloud Development Certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure CertificationInformation Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP CertificationClearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
