Your designs will directly influence how the organization detects issues, enforces standards, and optimizes operations across the enterprise.Schedule and Work DetailsLocation: Columbia, MDSchedule: Full-time | 40 hours per week | Day shiftStart Date: Interviews begin the week of November 24Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (required)Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might IncludeDesign and maintain schemas and data models across graph (Neo4j), document (Elasticsearch), and relational (PostgreSQL) databasesBuild efficient data structures to support analytics and investigative workflowsOptimize queries for performance, scalability, and responsivenessPartner with analytics engineers to ensure data supports mission-critical insightsImplement governance and data quality rules to ensure accuracy and complianceIntegrate feedback from multiple stakeholder groups to iterate rapidly on schema design and system performanceSupport the development of alerting mechanisms that flag discrepancies or violations of best practicesEnable subject matter experts to visualize and act on key infrastructure dataMinimum QualificationsClearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and twelve (12) years of related experienceOR sixteen (16) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degreeRequired SkillsProven experience working with graph, document, and relational databasesExpertise in schema design, query optimization, and analytics enablementStrong ability to translate analytical questions into database design solutionsExperience designing for performance and scalability in multi-database environmentsCollaborative mindset and ability to work across technical and analytical teamsDesired SkillsExperience analyzing cybersecurity-related data (e.g., network traffic, OS events)Familiarity with SIGINT systems and CNO production environmentsBroader software engineering experience (DevOps, ETL pipelines, or web apps)Experience using Git/GitLab for version controlKnowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for documentation and coordinationCompensation Range: $171,000.00 - $226,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
