Job Description
OverviewThis role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. Use knowledge of software engineering, computing technology, programming languages, and software life cycles to develop, program, maintain, and integrate computing applications including company-developed and commercial off-the-shelf software. Consolidates and analyzes diverse data sets including structured and unstructured data. Develops algorithms, dashboards, and queries to model datasets. Keeps abreast of new analytic methodologies and technologies. Collaborates with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction. Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data using off-the-shelf software and writing new code to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage. Uses statistical software to perform statistical analysis. Collects, analyzes and interprets numerical data from various sources. Prepares conclusions and predictions based on data summaries. Devises modeling and measuring techniques; utilizes mathematics, statistical methods, operational mathematics, and machine learning techniques. ResponsibilitiesThis position is 100% onsite in Wichita, KS At this time, Spirit AeroSystems is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for current or future sponsorship. Key Accountabilities:Builds and codes data solutions using tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, and Microsoft Programs.Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasetsUsing knowledge of computing technology, programming languages, and software life cycles to develop, program, maintain, andintegrate data sources.Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solutionWork directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships QualificationsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology2 - 5 years' related experience with a Bachelor's, 1-3 years' related experience with a Master's.Required 9 years' related experience minimum with no degreeProficient Understanding of Script Development, ETL, CI/CD Data Pipelines, REST APIsRequire knowledge of Database Administration and Development, SQL, HANA, Oracle, Python, and JenkinsProficient understanding of: Application development lifecyclesPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of SAP ECC 6.0 data structures. Union:This is a union-represented position. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $62,500 - $95,800 Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems' Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
