Work Setup: Onsite in Atlanta GA (30303) Monday Thursday (8:30 AM 5 PM) Friday remote (may change over time) Role: Data Governance and Compliance Manager Atlanta GA (Onsite/Hybrid) We are seeking a Data Governance and Compliance Manager with hands-on experience building a Data Governance framework from scratch. Key Responsibilities: Develop and operationalize a city-wide Data Governance framework (committee taxonomy policies RACI models). Ensure compliance with HIPAA GDPR CCPA CJIS and other regulations. Establish data classification cataloging quality controls and lifecycle management. Deliver training programs and build internal capacity. Support audits reporting and compliance risk assessments. Must-Have Experience: Proven track record in designing and implementing a full Data Governance framework (not just maintaining one). 7 years in data governance compliance or information management. Strong knowledge of regulatory and privacy laws. Experience in government or large organizations is preferred. Certifications (CIPP CIPM CDMP) a plus.
