Job Description

Job Title: Data ModelerLocation: Columbia, SCDuration: 12 Months Job Description : Responsibilities:Define and develop data modeling practices, standards, and guidelinesCreate and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models and metadata by working with stakeholders and othersFacilitate requirements gathering sessions with business units to capture data needs and translate them into model specificationsCollaborate with the development teams to ensure the database design meets application requirementsConduct data analysis, and quality assurance to ensure data integrity and consistencyImplement database schema changes and modificationsDocument data models, metadata, data flows, and data dictionariesProvide technical support and guidance to usersParticipate in model reviewsTrain developers and others in modeling Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field4+ years of experience in data modelingExperience with data modeling tools like Erwin or ER/StudioExperience with SQLExperience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQLKnowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence conceptsKnowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing platforms such as AWS (S3, Redshift), Snowflake, DatabricksExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment
