Job Description

A. General Description:The purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day activities of the National Outcomes Measurement System (NOMS) a national data collection registry that illustrates the effectiveness of services delivered by speech-language pathologists and audiologists.B. Responsibilities:Process NOMS registrations including information review data entry and correspondence with applicants.Generate and distribute routine preformatted compliance notices to participants.Respond to inquiries from and provide technical assistance to prospective and current participants.Assist participants with updating patient data submitted to the registries.Update content on the teams web pages.C. Contacts:To accomplish responsibilities listed above the incumbent has contact with:ASHA membersNational Office staffOrganization staff at health care and educational facilitiesD. Freedom to Act:Incumbent works under the supervision of the Director of Data Registries with goals and priorities established by the Director of Data Registries. Some latitude is given the incumbent to determine the approaches and procedures.E. Qualifications Education Experience Knowledge Skills:Knowledge and skills typically acquired through:Minimum of an Associates degree; Bachelors degree preferred with at least one year related work experience.Scope and depth of technical skills/knowledge:Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applicationsFamiliarity with basic HTML a plus but not requiredScope and depth of nontechnical skills/knowledge:Well organized with strong attention to detailSuperior customer service skillsDemonstrated problem-solving abilitiesExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work well as part of a team and individuallyF.
