Data Scientist at Aven

Job Description We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our product strategy using robust scientific methodologies. Leveraging your expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and econometric modeling on extensive datasets, you will measure outcomes, identify causal impacts, predict future performance, and design innovative data-driven solutions.In this role, you willPartner across the company with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Data Science teams to shape product strategy using rigorous scientific solutionsApply statistical, machine learning and econometric models on large datasets to: measure results and outcomesidentify causal impact and attributionpredict future performance of users or productsDesign, implement and launch innovative data science solutions to empower data-driven decisions at scaleDesign, analyze, and interpret the results of experimentsDevelop key metrics and observability for Aven productsDrive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sourcesCreate analyses that tell compelling stories and inspire actionWe’re looking for someone with5+ years of data science experience with a track record of thought leadership and innovationA PhD or MS in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or Economics)Expert knowledge of a scientific computing language (such as R or Python) and SQLTheoretical and applied expertise in statistics, machine learning and experimental designExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience designing and implementing complex modeling solutions from ideation to production at scaleExperience influencing high-impact decisionsStrong project management and organizational skillsAven is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
