Job Description
DescriptionAs a Data Scientist VP in CTC Architectures new and emerging risk department youll join an organization that leverages your skills to help develop test and scale data science enabled solutions that help secure our systems by design protect our data and strengthen resiliency.Your ability to understand data relationships and take ownership of data-driven tasks will be key to your success. Youll also develop approaches and/or processes to accomplish goals with an emphasis on A/B testing & advanced analytics. You will help drive a number of experimental engagements that will leverage data science to robustly evaluate the effect of novel interventions in the software model and data development lifecycles and scale their deployment across different firmwide teams.You will help to thoughtfully scope execute and advocate for experiments and generate evidential results that will credibly guide scaled-up initiatives that reduce our partners cybersecurity/technology risk increase developer velocity enhance engineering experience or reduce toil. A key thematic focus across the experimental portfolio will be on developing novel insights on how AI-driven solutions can be developed and used by firmwide partner teams at maximum velocity and minimum risk.Youll utilize strong communication skills to develop relationships spark curiosity and direct collaboration with key stakeholders and partners across functions and lines-of-business. Many experiments are focused on how human decision-making intersects with risk so experience with human-centered design behavioral economics and security engineering will be valuable.Job Responsibilities:Design implement and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of various strategies initiatives and ML/AI modelsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing opportunities and develop hypothesis-driven proposals for novel risk reduction strategies along with the rationale for how they advance the priorities of the businesses we supportLeverage a variety of statistical and mathematical techniques and algorithms to analyze datasets and solve complex business problemsObtain and validate data assets for experimental use either through familiarity with the firms systems of record and/or through developing relationships with x-LoB data SMEsEnsure rigorous statistical analysis and interpretation of test results to inform business decisionsIdentify creative opportunities to enrich and extend hypothesis-driven data experimentations using the firms existing data assets to drive incremental valueIntegrate successful solutions with the existing JPMC application estate Governance Risk Control ecosystem and systems of recordPrepare concrete delivery plans for how to scale up validated solutions use case cadence stakeholder priorities infrastructure required feature roadmap obstacles foreseen etc Develop data-driven narratives that summarize and communicate key messages to senior management sponsors and colleaguesRequired Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:5 years of experience working in an A/B testing and/or analytical role and/or enterprise data science roleMS degree in a related field such as Data Science Applied Mathematics Statistics Engineering Economics or similar STEM disciplineExperience using statistical programming languages (Python R) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data setsDemonstrable curiosity about enterprise technology risk and decision-makingPractical understanding of ML/AI and its use in enterprise contextsAdept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information for audiences at various levels of the businessStrong storytelling capabilitiesPreferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:Functional industry experience in finance cybersecurity operations sales marketing credit/risk or technologyKnowledge of the cybersecurity industryExperience working with UX research techniquesCISSPExperience working in management/strategy/technology consulting#CTC Key Skills Laboratory Experience,Immunoassays,Machine Learning,Biochemistry,Assays,Research Experience,Spectroscopy,Research & Development,cGMP,Cell Culture,Molecular Biology,Data Analysis Skills Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
