Database Developer (SQL Linux Fapolicyd)Position OverviewMicroHealth is seeking a hands-on Database Developer with expertise in SQL Linux Fapolicyd and reporting solutions. The Database Developer will be responsible for the implementation configuration maintenance and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS while supporting the enterprise reporting and analytics environment. The ideal candidate will work with data architects to implement standard enterprise data models that align with healthcare industrys best practices and ensure solutions are cloud-enabled.ResponsibilitiesManage and administer SQL Server databases in both Windows and Linux environmentsConfigure and maintain database servers and processes across multiple platformsImplement data models (conceptual logical and physical) developed by data architectsMonitor system health and performance using enterprise monitoring toolsEnsure high levels of performance availability sustainability and securityAnalyze solve and correct issues in real timeProvide technical solutions and recommendations for database optimizationRefine and automate regular processes track issues and document changesAssist developers with query tuning and schema refinementSupport data integration efforts to leverage new healthcare datasets through product capabilitiesClean and validate data for uniformity and accuracyImplement database solutions that support predictive modeling and analyticsCoordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomesProvide support for critical production systemsPerform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hoursAdminister Linux systems hosting SQL Server instancesImplement security best practices across database environmentsTechnical ResponsibilitiesConvert existing SAP Crystal Reports to SSRS formats while maintaining functionality and appearanceEnsure data integrity and consistency during the migration processDevelop and optimize SQL code for ad hoc reporting requirementsCreate and maintain standardized reporting templatesImplement reporting solutions that meet federal healthcare compliance requirementsQualifications and SkillsBachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field (Masters preferred)Strong SQL Server Administration experience requiredExperience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerExperience with Windows server including Active DirectoryStrong Linux administration skills including shell scripting permissions and system managementExperience with SQL Server on Linux deploymentsKnowledge of database security best practicesHealth data experience is a mustExperience working with healthcare data models and structuresKnowledge of data mining techniques and implementing data architectureExperience with both SAP Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting ServicesStrong SQL coding skills for query optimization and developmentUnderstanding of data integrity principles during migration processesKnowledge of federal healthcare compliance requirements for reportingAbility to create and maintain reporting templates and standardsETL process knowledge for data integrationExcellent problem-solving collaboration and communication skillsSQL Server certifications preferredExperience with InfoSphere including Quality Stage preferredExperience with InfoSystems IRIS and Linux policy preferredSalary- $110k-$120k*MicroHealth is unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
