Database EngineerOnsite Location:Richardson TXRequired:Top Secret or TS/SCI ClearanceNo 1099 No third parties no C2C No Visas or Green Cards No exceptions W2 Hourly Contract to Hire Only$45.00 - $66.00 per hour based on experience and benefits packageSeeking a Database Engineer with an active clearancethat will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate this position you would be familiar with creating updating and managing Postgres databases and the code that interacts with them.No C2C No 1099 we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors**DOD ACTIVE CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED***Qualifications RequiredCurrentTop-Secret or TS/SCIClearanceTypically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of Database Engineering experience.Experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) solutions such as Oracle Postgres or related systems.Experience working with Systems and Software Engineers to implement and modify backend databases to interact with applications within a development environment.Experience using Linux command line to perform database administration activities.Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance. Desired Skills:Existing Security CertificationExperience virtualizing or containerizing databases.Experience with AWS.Experience with NoSQL database products such as MongoDB and DynamoDB.Experience troubleshooting database issues such as DR replication & backups and other related issues.Experience troubleshooting performance issuesExperience with database security controls and audit & compliance requirements.Experience with automating routine tasks.Experience with Spatial databasesCoding experience (SQL Python Java) is helpful!Responsibilities:Identify and understand customer needs and apply sound demonstrable understanding of database principles theories and concepts related to software engineering to translate those needs to viable design solutions.Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.Successfully integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products as part of customer-driven solutions.Use proven problem solving and analytical skills.Obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.Obtain Security certification within 60 days of start.Please respond to Meredith Baldwin with your interest level recent copy of your resume and your availability for a call to *Rates listed are not a guarantee of salary/rate.
