In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks that meet the needs of our growing students.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of healthy and age-appropriate meals and snacks for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea, following USDA MyPlate guidelines and adhering to all state and local health regulations.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.Portion control and ensure proper food presentation.Order and maintain inventory of food supplies.Follow sanitation and safety protocols.Accommodate children with dietary restrictions and allergies.Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding meal schedules and any dietary needs.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering a welcoming environment for children.Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of experience working in a childcare or school cafeteria setting.ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.Strong understanding of child nutrition and healthy meal preparation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Positive attitude and a passion for working with children.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Caterpillar Corner Childcare Center offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, and a fun and rewarding work environment!If you are a passionate cook who is dedicated to providing healthy meals for children, we encourage you to apply!
