This role is a vital part of our team and helps ensure that every child receives high-quality care throughout the day.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and prepare healthy age-appropriate meals and snacks that meet nutritional guidelines.Maintain up-to-date allergy lists and communicate clearly with teachers regarding childrens dietary needs.Follow all food safety sanitation and storage procedures.Work with the Center Director to order food and supplies and maintain inventory records.Provide excellent customer service to staff children and families.Support the daily needs of a busy daycare/preschool kitchen maintaining a clean and organized work area.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 1 year experience in food preparation or cooking; experience in childcare school or institutional settings preferred.Ability to obtain a food handling certification within 90 days of hire.Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Genuine passion for supporting the health and well-being of young children.Apply TodayIf you enjoy cooking take pride in creating healthy meals and want to play an important role in a childcare and preschool setting apply today to join The Learning Experience in Newark DE.
