Daycare Kitchen Assistant( Part-time!) at Kids & Company Ltd

A Kitchen Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the day-to-day food operations of the center. Reporting to the Centre Director and Kitchen Lead this position assists with food preparation baking and kitchen maintenance all while upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality in alignment with Inspire Early Educations mission and values.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Kitchen Lead with the preparation and cooking of daily meals.Ensure safe food storage disposal and accurate completion of temperature logs.Prepare meals and snacks for children with special dietary requirements ensuring all dietary needs are met.Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain proper inventory levels.Prepare a variety of baked goods including loaves and snack items.Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations including maintaining current food safety certifications.Maintain a clean and organized kitchen following daily weekly and monthly cleaning schedules (including dishwashing duties).Occasionally prepare meals for field trips school-age programs or community events.Assist with receiving and organizing food supply orders from SYSCOPerform additional duties as assigned based on the evolving needs of the center.Qualifications & RequirementsValid ServSafe Managerial& allergen awareness certificationExperience working in a childcare or daycare kitchen environment is an asset.Valid drivers license and clean driving record.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Require a clean background check.Physical ability to lift push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.What We OfferA supportive and inclusive work environment where your efforts are recognized and appreciated.Competitive benefits package including medical dental vision and life insurance.Paid time off and a 401(k) plan to help you meet your personal and financial goals.Opportunities for career development and advancement within the organization.Childcare discounts for employees.Daily Pay Get paid on the same day you work.Equal Opportunity EmployerInspire Early Education is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
