The Substitute must communicate effectively actively listen and work well with others in different settings in order to relay appropriate information accordingly. Maintaining positive relationships with children staff and families is essential to facilitating continuity of care. Under the direction of the Lead Teacher the Substitute sustains day-to-day responsibilities related to the learning environment including personal care routines health and safety practices and supervision of children. Serves as a positive role-model to children and upholds program-wide values and other center quality initiatives through professional conduct.EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent( Required)Experience1 year experience in a teaching role or related experience with young children and families PreferredGeneral Experience and knowledge of Ages & Stages Questionnaires Ounce Scale and Work Sampling PreferredGeneral Experience and knowledge of DHS regulations Environmental Rating Scale (ERS)standards and NAEYC Standards PreferredLicensesRequired within 90 days of hire: Pediatric First Aid CPR and Mandated Reporter Training. Mandated Reporter Training to be maintained every 5 years.
