We are more than just a job.How Will You Make an ImpactLead financial due diligence engagements related to mergers and acquisitions and divestures by private equity investors and corporate buyers and sellersProvide advisory services to clients to assist them in maximizing their financial opportunities and manage the risks involved with possible mergers and acquisitionsBuild and maintain strong client relationships to reinforce connections with current and prospective clients of the firm; provide value added services by cross-selling other lines of serviceOversee and ensure the delivery of final work projects within established deadlinesAnalyze financial/operational results of target companies through reviewing accounting information and conducting interviews with managementFinancial analysis of cash flows quality of earnings and assets to identify potential liabilities and risks as well as the impact of findings on the valuation of the target companyIdentify issues for purchase price adjustment consideration deal structuring or deal terminationIdentify post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvementsEvaluate effects of seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirementsOversee staff responsibilities such as the preparation of financial information and detailed reportsManage train and coach staff; provide timely feedback to promote and support a culture of professional growthHow Will You Get HereBachelors degree in Accounting required; Masters degree preferredCPA license or CPA eligibility preferred4 years of experience in one of the following areas with a public accounting or advisory firm: accounting advisory financial audit or transaction advisory services experience (experience related to mergers and acquisitions or financial due diligence preferred)Strong current knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) mergers and acquisitions or transaction servicesAbility to independently manage multiple projects and act autonomously while being a team playerCapable of independently performing research of industries markets economies etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office primarily ExcelWillingness and ability to travel when necessaryWhy Should You ApplyFirm Paid Medical Insurance(Free Employee Only Coverage on 2 of 3 plans)Voluntary Dental and Vision Insurance17 Annual Firm holidays with extended breaks around July 4th and year end25 days PTO for Salaried EmployeesPaid Maternity and Parental Leave401(k) with Profit SharingDiscretionary Bonus ProgramFirm Paid Becker CPA Review Course & Reimbursement for Exam FeesHealth & Wellness ProgramPet InsuranceWhitley Penn is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
