OverviewThis role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit's Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). ResponsibilitiesLocation: Wichita, KS (On-site) Key Accountabilities:Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teamsKnowledge to develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plansUsing the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of materialCommunicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design conceptsCoordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues, production & postproduction problemsHas the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware, within the manufacturing build plan QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Manufacturing experience:Level 2: High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of related manufacturing experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology with 0+ years of related experienceLevel 3: High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related manufacturing experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology with 3+ years of related experienceLevel 4: High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of related manufacturing experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology with 6+ years of related experiencePreferred Qualifications:Clarification, enhancement of existing build plans to promote standardization, and ease of understandingFrequent interaction with internal personnel in the manufacturing environment and occasionally with inter-organizational personnel and external customersAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D modelsCreation and publication of manufacturing graphicsStrong skills in Microsoft Office, especially with ExcelStrong knowledge of SAPCATIA / ENOVIA3DX Understanding of the master scheduling requirements Ability to take a project from start to finish Willingness to work cross-functionallyTechnical DegreeAbility to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures Union:This is a union-represented position. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: Level 2: $59,950 - $91,950 | Level 3: $71,650 - $109,800 | Level 4: $88,200 - $135,250 Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems' Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
