Responsibilities Location: Wichita, KS (On-site) Key Accountabilities:Maintaining and Continuously Improving the Quality Management SystemServe as the company Quality Management RepresentativeAct as Liaison for interface with customers, suppliers, and other agenciesLead the MRB Team in review of all non-conformancesLead the RCCA Team in root cause and corrective actionsWork with leadership team and peers to develop future state projects, goals, and timelines to meet those goalsPrioritize projects and goals by importance and scope. Work with process owners and other stakeholders to develop plans to meet improvement goalsWhere appropriate, lead execution efforts on identified initiatives. Methods may include Kaizen events or other formal or informal improvement effortsWhere others are responsible for leading improvement efforts, work closely with each stakeholder to assure goals are met in the time frame requiredPerform continual assessments of current state process performance and update on a regular basis to ensure continual improvement of the businessSchedule and lead effective meetings. Develop and use formal meeting agendas and meeting minutes to ensure action items are captured and executed uponDevelop and conduct presentations, develop reports or other written forms of communication to present to leadership or aid in process improvementAssist in the development of training and verifying effectiveness of training and perform tests or measurements of processesAuthor or revise documents such as procedures, processes, work instructions, and standard operating proceduresPerform spot audits in assigned shop for compliance items Qualifications Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDExperience in a Quality classification / positionLevel 2: 2-5 years of related quality experience Level 3: 5-10 years of related quality experienceLevel 4: 10+ years of related quality experienceMust be able to secure Program Access approval on an ITAR controlled programMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's DegreeProficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs and other software utilized in the manufacture of aerospace productsExperience using SAP Proficient with standard industry RCCA tools (i.e., 7-Pack, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)Excellent oral and written communication skillsTeam playerStrong work ethic, self-starter, willingness to learn and grow as a professionalUnderstanding of DPD and GD&T, including experience with Catia, 3D, or MBD engineering modelsSix Sigma Green Belt other LEAN certification/experienceExperience in project managementPrevious experience with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, specifically Designated Quality Representative (DQR)Familiar with AS9100 RevD Spirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
