This role handles medium to complex accounting activities, maintains ledger accounts, and prepares financial statements and reports. The position may also provide functional guidance or training to less experienced team members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review and process billing, invoicing, and data entry into accounting systems. Submit cash applications to vouchers/invoices and resolve accounts receivable issues. Analyze financial transaction records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with Monthly Variance Reports, including variance analysis and preparation of explanation reports. Prepare and/or review financial projections to show the impact of proposed changes on income and financial standing. Maintain, record, and reconcile billings and accounts receivables. Examine financial statements and documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards and requirements. Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and reconciliation of discrepancies. Post entries to the general ledger and review budget variances. Read and interpret contracts, legal documents, and agreements as needed. Record complex business transactions accurately in the general ledger. Perform other duties as assigned. Strong knowledge of financial terms, principles, and intermediate/advanced calculations (percentages, discounts, commissions). Experience conducting intermediate to advanced financial analysis. Advanced accounting and bookkeeping knowledge with the ability to assist in budget and forecast preparation. Ability to follow and apply accounting practices that protect client financial interests and ensure satisfaction. Education & Experience Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR equivalent education/experience. 2 3+ years of professional-level accounting experience. Reasoning & Analytical Ability Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various documents. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple options. Intermediate to advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagram, and schedule-based instructions. Other Skills & Abilities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to design and generate ad-hoc financial reports. Advanced knowledge of real estate accounting or financial management software (preferred). Scope of Responsibility Make decisions aligned with company procedures and policies to meet deadlines.
