Demand Planning Analyst

Position Overview:

As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will play a central role in developing and aligning the demand plan for the Polaris Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) product line. You will build accurate retail, ship, and industry forecasts that guide critical production, inventory, and business decisions. Using a blend of statistical tools, market insights, and cross-functional input, you will shape forecasts that support both near-term execution and longer-term planning. In this role, you will collaborate across teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and data integrity. This position offers the opportunity to influence high-visibility decisions and contribute meaningfully to business performance through analytical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the monthly Demand Review process to drive cross-functional alignment on the 18-month ORV demand plan.
  2. Develop accurate retail and industry forecasts using trend analysis, Blue Yonder statistical models, competitive insights, promotional inputs, and leadership guidance.
  3. Analyze, consolidate, and execute product line, segment, and marketing name forecasts.
  4. Integrate dealer profiles, order forecasts, and inventory targets to build the ship plan.
  5. Communicate global ship demand plans to scheduling and manufacturing teams to support production requirements.
  6. Present industry, retail, and ship forecastsalong with risks and opportunitiesto ORV leadership.
  7. Lead the cross-functional Portfolio Review to align on product, price, mix, and volume strategies.
  8. Recommend and implement continuous improvements to ORV demand planning processes to enhance clarity, efficiency, and data quality.
  9. Apply sound judgment and influencing skills to support ORV management decision-making.
  10. Collaborate with teammates to optimize demand plans and forecast accuracy.
  11. Provide ongoing data and analysis to partners, including retail, order, and ship forecasts; dealer inventory; and days stock on hand (DSO).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business analytics.
  • Experience in demand planning or forecasting preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop data-driven plans and recommendations that influence business leaders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with Power BI and Alteryx preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 10%.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $69,000 to $90,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
