We are seeking a skilled Dent Ding & Rock Chip Specialist to join our award-winning service team and help uphold the standards our customers expect.Position SummaryThe Dent Ding & Rock Chip Specialist is responsible for performing high-quality cosmetic repairs to customer and inventory vehicles including paintless dent repair (PDR) ding removal minor body panel corrections and windshield rock chip repair. This role plays a key part in maintaining the appearance and value of Subaru vehicles contributing to CSI/NPS scores and supporting the dealerships Service and Reconditioning Departments.Key ResponsibilitiesDent & Ding RepairPerform Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) on customer vehicles and inventory units including door dings small dents creases and hail damage.Evaluate damage type and severity to determine proper repair approach.Restore body panels to factory condition without paintwork whenever possible.Use dealership-approved tools lighting systems glue pulling equipment and PDR techniques.Meet Team Gillman quality standards for cosmetic refinishing.Rock Chip & Glass RepairPerform windshield rock chip and minor crack repairs using approved resin injection systems.Assess whether glass is repairable or requires replacement and communicate recommendations to Service Advisors.Ensure all repairs restore strength and minimize chip visibility to Team Gillman standards.Customer Service & CommunicationWork collaboratively with Service Advisors Technicians and Management to ensure efficient repair flow.Clearly communicate repair results limitations and recommendations.Assist in estimating cosmetic repairs for both customer pay and internal service vehicles.Help maintain strong CSI/NPS scores by providing exceptional service.Quality Safety & ComplianceFollow OEM repair guidelines and all Team Gillman safety procedures.Maintain a clean organized work area in accordance with dealership standards.Ensure repairs meet or exceed internal quality benchmarks before vehicle delivery.Properly handle chemicals heat tools and glass repair equipment.Documentation & ReportingComplete accurate repair documentation work orders and internal notes.Provide before-and-after photos when required by management.Report additional damage or needed cosmetic work to the appropriate Service Advisor or Manager.Log parts supplies and materials used on each repair.Tools Equipment & MaintenanceProperly maintain and calibrate PDR tools glue pull systems and glass repair equipment.Communicate supply needs or tool replacements to management.Ensure all equipment is used in accordance with dealership safety practices.Team CollaborationCoordinate with the Service Drive Detail Department and Reconditioning Team to support workflow efficiency.Assist with internal reconditioning of pre-owned inventory when needed.Uphold Team Gillmans values of teamwork integrity and customer-first service.QualificationsPrior experience with Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) required or highly preferred.Experience in windshield rock chip repair preferred.Strong attention to detail and consistent high-quality craftsmanship.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dealership environment.Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand bend kneel and reach during extended repair procedures.Ability to lift 2540 lbs. as needed.Adequate vision and lighting interpretation for detailed repair work.Why Work for Team Gillman Subaru NorthFamily-owned and operated for over 80 yearsPositive team-focused environmentOpportunities for career growth and manufacturer trainingCompetitive compensation and performance-based incentivesEmployee benefits including health dental vision and 401(k) optionsRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Sales Experience,Crane,Customer Service,Communication skills,Heavy Equipment Operation,Microsoft Word,Case Management,OSHA,Team Management,Catheterization,Microsoft Outlook Calendar,EHS Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
