Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Location: Pettinato Dental Care, Scranton, PA


Employment Type: Part-Time

Wednesdays (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and Thursdays (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall mission of fostering positive patient experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dental hygiene procedures including cleanings, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and polishing
  • Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
  • Conduct oral health assessments and document patient medical/dental histories
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, preventive care, and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with the dentist and team to ensure quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment


Qualifications

  • Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
  • Prior experience working as a dental hygienist in a clinical setting required
  • Strong clinical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented approach
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
