Position will exercise programmatic responsibility to assure efficient and effective program operation as a while and assists staff to deliver competent quality services to accomplish permanency goals and objectives. Position is responsible to compile review track and evaluate services related to child welfare policy and federal child welfare goals.E Level Position DescriptionDepartmental Technician 10 (Advanced Level)This advanced level Departmental Technician provides assistance to BSC (Business Service Center) 5 Regional Placement and Support (RPS) staff as the Recognized Resource for the Power BI program which is software that is utilized extensively by this unit for analyzing data. This position serves as a troubleshooter pertaining to technical support functions and performs advanced level research and analysis for RPS staff and management. This position provides training to other staff within the office; exercises programmatic responsibility to assure efficient and effective program operation as a whole and assists staff to deliver competent quality services to accomplish permanency goals and objectives. See instructions for attaching files here: InstructionsRequired Education and ExperienceEducationPossession of a high school diploma or a GED Certificate.ExperienceDepartmental Technician 7One year of experience performing experienced-level administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.Departmental Technician 8One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.OROne year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.Departmental Technician E9Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.OROne year of experience performing advanced secretarial or supervisory administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.Departmental Technician 10Two years of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.ORTwo years of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.ORThree years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced level in state service.Alternate Education and ExperienceAlternate Education and ExperienceDepartmental Technician 7Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.Departmental Technician 8Possession of a Bachelors degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.Departmental Technician E9Possession of a Bachelors degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.Departmental Technician 10Possession of a Bachelors degree and one year of professional experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.Additional Requirements and InformationThe physical location of this position is 3040 W. Grand Blvd Ste 5-100 Detroit MI 48202. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications.
