If you already have a Candidate Account please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:DFT Design Automation EngineerBroadcoms ASIC Products Division is seeking a Design Automation Software Development Engineer in the Design For Test (DFT) team developing SoC ASIC products. They will define develop deploy and support the methodology design automation software tools and flow used in ASIC development.This job will involve development testing and deployment of software products and usage methodology to a world-wide cutting edge ASIC DFT technology development and implementation team. These tools are used to support test logic hardware development synthesis insertion and integration as well as verification that the logic is implemented correctly. Other tools are used in the generation of the production tests used in manufacturing the ASIC products.The candidate should have hands-on experience developing and debugging software in a team environment. They must also have an understanding of digital logic design and implementation. The candidate must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills to conquer the demanding and ever changing requirements of the ASIC customer base.ResponsibilitiesUsing Bash Perl Ruby Python or TCL scripting to automate design tool processesDevelopment of complex tools in languages such as CDebugging tool and design flow related issues for IC designersProviding support/training on tools and methodologies to engineers at multiple geographiesWorking directly with EDA vendors to resolve tool issuesApplying hardware/software skills to create innovative solutionsDeveloping documentation and training on custom flows and internal toolsUnderstanding and deployment of new and evolving DFT architecture solutionsSkills & ExperienceProficiency in programming languages such as Perl Python Ruby Tcl C/C in a UNIX/Linux environmentDigital Logic Design and Verilog HDLUnderstanding of programming issues such as OO design memory leaks data structures sorting recursion stack overflow and greedy algorithms.Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and effective communication skillsUnderstanding of Scan Test architecture and implementationExperience with Streaming Scan Networks is a plusFamiliarity with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting digital timing analysis software development tools and revision control systemsEducation:Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering and 8 years of related experience; or Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering and 6 years of related experienceAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is$108000 - $172800.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical dental and vision plans 401(K) participation including company matching Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) company paid holidays paid sick leave and vacation time.
