Key Responsibilities Design and develop new products and components for manufacturing processes. Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software. Conduct design analysis and calculations to ensure product performance and reliability. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA). Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for product designs. Manage the prototyping and testing phases of new product development. Generate and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation including BOMs and specifications. Perform root cause analysis and implement design improvements for existing products. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 3 years of experience in product design and development within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor Creo) for modeling assembly and drafting. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding sheet metal) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis. Bonus Qualifications Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software. Demonstrated understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Hands-on experience with prototyping testing or fabrication processes. Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
