Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment used in metal processing and manufacturing operations
Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software
Work closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to develop practical engineering solutions that improve efficiency and reliability
Support custom equipment design, modifications, and upgrades to existing production lines
Develop bills of materials, fabrication drawings, and documentation for shop and field use
Evaluate materials and manufacturing methods to ensure designs are cost-effective and manufacturable
Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of machinery and processes
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on component selection, fabrication, and system integration
Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and operational requirements
