These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Develop and design new products components and assemblies for manufacturing. Create detailed 3D CAD models engineering drawings and specifications. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize performance cost and manufacturability. Conduct design analysis simulations and prototyping to validate concepts and ensure functionality. Collaborate with manufacturing production and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth implementation. Identify and implement design improvements for existing products to enhance performance reliability or cost-effectiveness. Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide engineering support during production. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or a related technical field. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor Creo CATIA). Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding sheet metal fabrication welding). Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Knowledge of material science and selection for manufacturing applications. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced GD&T application and tolerance stack-up analysis. Familiarity with CAM software or CNC programming principles. Proficiency in scripting or automation for CAD software (e.g. Python VBA). Experience with specific advanced manufacturing processes (e.g. Additive Manufacturing Composites Robotics).
