Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of new products components and assemblies from concept to production. Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD models engineering drawings and specifications. Optimize designs for manufacturability assembly cost-effectiveness and performance (DFM/DFA). Select appropriate materials manufacturing processes and finishes based on application requirements. Support the prototyping testing and validation of new designs and design modifications. Collaborate with manufacturing production and quality teams to ensure successful product launch and continuous improvement. Analyze and resolve design-related issues and non-conformances identified during production or field use. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding welding additive manufacturing) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. Knowledge of material properties and selection for various manufacturing applications. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation tools for design validation. Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings GD&T and relevant industry standards. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in FEA and simulation software for complex stress thermal or fluid dynamics analysis. Demonstrated hands-on experience with prototyping testing and validation of designs. Expertise in advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) application and analysis. Experience with scripting or API development for CAD automation and design optimization.
