By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings with GD&T.Interpret complex GD&T requirements to create accurate and efficient measurement routines.Select appropriate probes, tips, and fixtures for various part geometries and materials.Perform first-article inspections (FAI) and correlation studies to validate CMM program accuracy.Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.Generate and analyze detailed inspection reports, communicating results to relevant teams.Maintain CMM equipment, including performing routine calibration checks and minor adjustments.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.Experience with CMM operation, calibration, and maintenance.Ability to analyze measurement data and troubleshoot programming issues.Bonus QualificationsExperience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).Proficiency in CAD software for model manipulation and analysis (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor).Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and software.Experience with fixture design or fabrication for CMM applications.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Programmer, Dimensional Metrology Technician, CMM Technician, Quality Inspector CMM, CMM Operator, Inspection Programmer, Dimensional InspectorWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
