OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Tool Crib Attendant who will be responsible for managing the distribution, inventory, and maintenance of tools, supplies, and equipment required for production operations. This role ensures that manufacturing personnel have timely access to the tools and materials they need while maintaining accurate records and ensuring toolroom organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in inventory or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate records of tool usage, inventory levels, and tool conditions using manual logs and inventory management systems
Monitor stock levels of tools and supplies; reorder items to maintain adequate inventory.
Distributing tools and equipment to employees, documenting the transaction, and ensuring tools are returned promptly
Inspect and perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment; send out tools for repair or calibration as needed
Maintaining a neat and organized tool room, ensuring tools are easily accessible, ensuring the proper OOH of the tools and correct tool holders.
Monitoring the security of the tool room and ensuring tools are not misused or damaged
Assisting new employees in understanding tool usage and safety procedures
Communicating with production staff about tool availability and any issues that may arise
Assist with the implementation of tool tracking systems and continuous improvement initiatives
Follow safety procedures and company policies related to equipment handling and storage
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in a tooling or inventory role preferred
Experience with manufacturing tooling such as endmills, drills, taps, corner rounders, etc.
Familiarity with basic tooling, gaging, and manufacturing processes
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
Basic computer proficiency; experience with inventory or ERP systems a plus
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

Salary Description
$23.00-$28.00 per hour
