Job DescriptionThe Role:At this level you are expected to operate with a high level of independent discernment and are typically responsible for implementing functional strategy administering and coordinating programs counseling and advising management. As a fully-qualified individual contributor who has thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the function you will provide expert judgment and analysis for the design development and implementation of technical products and systems.This person will rely mostly on extensive personal experience and discernment to plan and accomplish goals. A considerable amount of creativity and initiative are involved as well as a high level of independent judgment. This person will help to resolve highly complex technical issues and conduct advanced research. They will recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedure and will be skilled and proficient with a variety of the fields concepts practices and procedures.What Youll Do:You will perform multiple tasks. Lead and likely direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedResponsible for supporting the Electrical Integration work within Seating GSSLT by leading the Seat Wiring Harness Assessment (WHA) activitiesWork with Program Seat DREs Seat Validation and GM Power & Signal Distribution Systems (PSDS) to drive flawless Virtual & Physical WHA executionsConfirm completion of each WHA at required cadence through the Seat Peer Review ProcessKnowledge of GM Auros database and the Seat WHA process is key for success in this role. Seating knowledge is preferredSupport monitor and track the Virtual & Physical WHAs for all programsKnow the WHA Best Practices and routing requirementsCollaborate/coach global DRE seat engineers on technical correctness of seat harness routingUnderstand and ensure all requirements are understood and incorporated into every programSupport the development enterprise cost optimization scenarios and lead their implementation as it relates to seat wiringSupport Warranty QRD PRTS validation and simulation lessons learned for seat wiring harnessesRegular attendee and engagement Seat Peer Reviews and Seat Warranty Reviews as seat wiring harness expertProvide support to DREs during harness routing design and layout for 1st / 2nd & 3rd row seatingSupport DREs by reviewing current process and determining optimization opportunitiesCommunicate weekly during 1-on-1 with Electrical Integration Tech Lead or more often if neededLocal travel to suppliers up to 50%
