Destination Madison shows visitors from around the world that our city isnt a place you stumble across on a map; its a city you seek out and return to again and again.Overview of Responsibilities Collaborate with teams and departments across the organization offering valuable support for a wide range of projects and tasks Assist with database management ensuring accurate updates and generating essential reports Provide support to the Destination Madison team at events and committee meetings. Work with the Brand team on content creation and posting including web and social media Participate in mailings deliveries and other inventory management Desired Education Skills & Abilities Pursuing a post-secondary degree in Hospitality Tourism Business Marketing or related field Some customer service experience desiredSelf-motivated with an engaging and friendly personality Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Outlook Word Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with Madison area attractions amenities and major events a plus Work Hours & Job Specifications Primarily perform work at the Destination Madison office during regular business hours (8 a.m.5 p.m. MondayFriday) Availability to work events on some evenings and weekends Expectations of 1016 hours per week during the semester with up to 30 hours per week during the summer Work with frequent interruptions and sit or stand for long periods of time.
