JOB HIGHLIGHTS

POSITION PURPOSE: The Destination Partnership Intern supports the accurate management and organization of partner

data within the CRM system. This role is responsible for entering new partner information, updating existing records,

and properly organizing physical documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and

comfortable working with databases and data entry systems. This position plays a key role in maintaining data integrity

and supporting efficient partner management processes.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE:

Part-Time; Non-Exempt Summer Internship 28 hours per week from May to August. Before or during events, hours may exceed 40 hours in one week and could involve some nights and weekends.

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

Valid, unrestricted Michigan driver's license.

PREFERRED:

Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Data Analytics, or a related field Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to manage and accurately input data in databases or CRM systems

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

Assist with maintaining and updating the partnership database, including processing profile changes and communicating with membership contacts. Conduct research to collect and verify partner account information to ensure accuracy and consistency across internal systems. Provide administrative support to the Partner Sales team, including preparation for outreach and coordination of materials. Provide general administrative support to the Destination Partnerships team as needed. Complete special projects as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Destination Services, Partnerships & Events. Collect, organize, and maintain data from primary and secondary sources to support database accuracy and integrity. Clean, process, and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability across systems. Review and verify data for errors, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies, making corrections as needed prior to final entry or reporting. Maintain database records, including updating information, removing outdated or unnecessary data, and performing regular data cleanup to ensure data integrity. Analyze and interpret data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights using basic statistical techniques as needed. Retrieve, format, and generate reports from the database in response to internal requests and reporting needs. Utilize strong technical skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and maintain familiarity with database and data management tools. Demonstrate knowledge of hospitality industry terminology and best practices in customer service. OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:

Provide general administrative support and assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:

Excellent communication skills including the ability to clearly express thoughts, ideas, and concepts, verbally and in writing, in the English language.Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and analyzing multiple assignments simultaneously.Ability to think and manage creatively in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, peers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.Maintains a positive and professional work attitude, appearance, and behavior even in the most demanding situation.Ability to work effectively in an in-person work environment; proficient using video conferencing software and other work tools.Proficient in using personal computer software and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Available weekends and outside of normal work hours for assignments and travel, as needed. Ability to drive larger vehicles (D-Rover) and satisfactory driving history.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office work involves extended periods of sitting or working at a desk, utilizing repetitive typing motions on a computer or laptop, and reading text on a video display monitor. Ability to perform extensive standing and/or walking for work-related assignments and events.Ability to lift push, and or carry up to 40lbs. occasionally Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Compensation details: 6-16 Yearly Salary
