DEV OPS ENGINEERLOCATION: BOSTONTHIS IS A LOCAL ROLE/ HYBRID - MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE BOSTON OFFICE 2-3 days a week.Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.The Role:This role is at the intersection of infrastructure reliability and software delivery. It entails ensuring seamless operationsenhancing system reliability and accelerating software deployment while addressing disaster recovery scenarios working with apartners Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) offering. Collaboration with cross-functional teams automating processes anddriving continuous improvement are expected. The hybrid infrastructure cross over for this position is responsible forimplementing managing and monitoring enterprise windows infrastructure. The role focuses on co-located infrastructure butstretches to include Azure cloud activities. Expertise in operating systems Active Directory and enterprise-class Applications.Role Responsibilities:Design deploy and maintain robust infrastructure components leveraging infrastructure as code (terraform) in theprovisioning and management of resourcesOptimize infrastructure resource allocation scalability and fault tolerance.Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual interventionSet up monitoring tools to track system healthDefine and measure service-level indicators and service-level objectives Monitor application performance latency and resource utilizationCreate actionable alerts and dashboardsAutomate incident response monitoring and alertingImplement security best practices across the infrastructure stackImplement security controls vulnerability assessment and access managementWork with an Azure cloud platform to manage resourcesBuild and maintain CI/CD pipeline for efficient software deliveryCollaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing and deploymentContribute to establishing a culture of continuous integration delivery and improvementBridge gaps between development operations and other teamsEnsure compliance with industry standards (GDPR SOC 1 SOC2 etc.)Diagnose and develop fixes to implement quickly and efficiently for production incidentsMaintain all Windows servers and domains including user administration and system security.Actively monitor Windows systems to ensure optimal system operation and availability and take corrective action whennecessary.Design software and hardware configurations for servers and desktop systems.Install upgrade and maintain Windows servers and desktops.Recommend and implement process improvement activities.Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hour and weekend support.Resolve difficult problems when escalatedRecommend and implement new technologiesParticipate in a 24x7 on-call rotationEducation and Experience:Bachelors Degree encouraged in one of the following fields; computer science or related fieldAzure Certifications preferredMinimum 4 years of experience in Information TechnologyAt least 4 years of systems engineering software engineering or DevOps engineering experienceExperience using infrastructure automation tools such as TerraformExperience with vulnerability scanners and remediationExperience with Azure cloud servicesFamiliar with containerizationExperience with Microsoft Windows Active DirectoryExperience with VMWare Enterprise Class Servers and StorageKnowledge of Citrix servicesExperience with ISO/SSAE16/NIST or equivalent compliance is preferredKnowledge of firewalls load balancers VLANs managed switches and routersFamiliarity with ITIL frameworkMay consider a combination of relevant experience with educational and other skills and abilities in lieu ofeducational requirements.Skills and Abilities:Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skillsEffectively work and contribute as part of a teamUp-to-date on latest industry trends;
