DevOps Data Engineer at The Swift Group

The Swift Group is looking for a DevOps Data Engineer to join our team. The optimal candidate will be responsible for taking a leadership role in refactoring existing data workflows from an on-premises infrastructure to the cloud. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with extensive DevOps experience who can identify and implement the appropriate cloud alternative to on-prem resources.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the full data lifecycle – from exploratory data analysis to the upkeep of production data flows.Focuses a majority of their time supporting the underlying environment and infrastructure used by the rest of the Data Engineering and Data Science teams.Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.6+ years of experience in DevOps/Data EngineeringExtensive familiarity with AWS services to include CloudFormation, EC2, S3, and RDSCloudFormation, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, BashProgramming Languages: Python, Java or ScalaProcessing Tools: Elasticsearch, Spark, NiFi, and/or DockerDatastore Types: Graph, NoSQL, and/or RelationalUS Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance requiredDesired Qualifications:Familiarity with AWS CDKTerraform, PackerDesign Concepts: REST APIsProgramming Languages: JavaScript / NodeJSProcessing Tools: Presto / Trino, MapReduce, Hive#LI-DI1#Onsite  The Swift Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
