Software EngineerDevSecOps (DevSecOps)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Lead Software EngineerDevSecOps to support our Space Battle Management Command and Control (SBMC2) team located in Colorado Springs Colorado. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.The ideal candidate will specialize in DevSecOps to support the CI/CD pipeline development effort under the Rocknet Software Development Services (SDS) Program. This role will focus on the architecture sustainment and expansion of pipelines and other technical solutions for a classified network.The selected individual will architect develop document and maintain standardized efficient and innovative processes tools methodologies and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle. This includes enabling continuous integration delivery and deployment of safety-critical software. The engineer will automate develop monitor improve and troubleshoot across software engineering development tooling testing deployment configuration processes and security controls.The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to build and maintain robust scalable and secure software engineering systems while also analyzing planning and executing mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks threats and vulnerabilities. Additionally this position requires communication with customers and end users to elicit needs and requirements and architect compliant solutions while leading the team in implementing these concepts.Position Responsibilities:Implements an environment that enables high levels of quality safety compliance and continuous improvement across the organizationCollaborates with cross functional teams to build and maintain robust scalable and secure software engineering systemsConsults on current and emerging technologies tools frameworks and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environmentAdvises on automation development monitoring improvement and troubleshooting across software development tooling testing integration deployment configuration processes and security controlsOversees development documentation and maintenance of standardized efficient and innovative processes tools methodologies and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration delivery and deployment of safety critical softwareOversees analyses planning and execution of mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks threats and vulnerabilitiesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):10 years of related work experience in software engineering DevSecOps or a related field5 years of experience with cloud environments (AWS and Azure) and DevSecOps practices5 years of Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies including Git Docker and Kubernetes3 years of leading technical teams and mentor junior engineersPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related technical fieldProficiency in programming languages such as C C# Java and PythonStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices including risk management frameworksExperience with Distributive Interactive Simulation (DIS) standards and operator-in-the-loop real-time simulationFamiliarity with software security posture in proprietary areasExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working in a customer-facing roleKnowledge of tools such as Jira Confluence Grafana and PrometheusDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Travel:No more than 10%CodeVue Coding Challenge:To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
