OverviewTHIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN CLARK FLOYD HARRISON WASHINGTON SCOTT JEFFERSON SWITZERLAND OHIO DEARBORN RIPLEY JENNINGS JACKSON BROWN BARTHOLOMEW or DECATUR COUNTY(the primary location for this individual will be dependent upon the candidate selected)Knowledge Services has an opportunity with the FSSA/Division of Family Resources as an Eligibility Assistant Working Lead. This position isresponsible for mentoring the Eligibility Assistants that are assisting Indiana residents who are applying and/or receiving public assistance.The Eligibility Assistant Working Lead will act as a liaison between Knowledge Services DFR Management and the Eligibility Assistants. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have the ability to work collaboratively with current Eligibility Assistants. We are guided by our four Pillars that set the foundation of who we are and how we conduct business: Knowledge Integrity Innovation and Service.ResponsibilitiesMentor Eligibility Assistant staffTravel to DFR offices within the Region as scheduled/needed (daily/weekly travel).Support and coach the Eligibility Assistant staffEnsure policies and procedures are followed as instructed by DFR Local Office ManagementInstruct and implement procedural changes from managementSubmit daily and weekly reporting of activities conducted while assistingEligibility Assistant staffProvide further direction and ongoing training to Eligibility Assistant staffProduction support provided as neededQualificationsEligibility Assistant experience is requiredHighly organized and analyticalAble to provide clear and concise directionLeadership skillsPatience in working with othersStrong written and verbal skillsSolid computer skills including Word Excel and OutlookIndependent worker who is a self-starterStrong customer service backgroundPrefer a Bachelor or Associate degrees in Counseling or Social Services but High School Diploma or GED required2 years experience in a social service environment state or local government is desiredThis position is one where you can make an immediate impact on your community and those that work as an Eligibility Assistant.
