Diesel Mechanic - 1st Shift $22.50/hour Albion, NE

Pay: $22.50/hour
Shift: 1st Shift Full-Time

We're seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a variety of agricultural and feedlot equipment. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring the reliability, performance and safety of our machinery from feed trucks and tractors to loaders and skid steers.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines used in feed trucks, tractors, loaders and other farm equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, cooling and fuel systems
• Perform engine overhauls, brake repairs and transmission service
• Maintain and service small engines, generators and 4-wheelers
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve performance issues
• Weld and fabricate components for repairs or modifications (MIG, TIG, stick, or gas)
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs
• Keep a clean and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or agricultural mechanic
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
• Experience using diagnostic and repair tools
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred
• Ability to read service manuals and schematics
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license required (CDL or ASE Certification a plus)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
