The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems to ensure vehicles and equipment operate safely and efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and completing repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.

Hours for the position are from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime is available on Saturday from 8-12.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment to identify problems.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.
  • Repair or replace defective engine components, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and fuel systems.
  • Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
  • Test repaired vehicles and equipment to verify proper operation.
  • Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair diagrams.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
