Diesel Mechanic at DRB Transport

Alma MI. Full time.

Schedule - Summer: M-F 6am-3pm. 1 weekend a month (6am-3pm) and 1 weekend on call.

Winter: M-F 6am-3pm and 2 weekends per month (6am-3pm).

Must have approx 2 years experience in heavy duty dieselrepair with knowledge of suspensions and electrical.

Entry-levelpay ranges from $22-$25 p/hr

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine services/maintenance to semi trucks and 8 axle trailers
  
• Use diagnostic tools/software to test components
  
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  
• Deadline and detail-oriented
  
• Must know airbrake systems and suspensions
  
• Electrical diagnosis
  
• Drum/disc brakes
  
• Ability to drive a semi-truck in and out of bay doors
  
• Ability to use computer programming and diagnostic tools

Requirements:

• Experience is a must (certification will increase wage)
• Trouble shoot engines and emissions
• Understand airbrake systems
• Be able to fix rear ends and transmissions
