Job DescriptionJob DescriptionEcosouth is looking to hire an experienced mechanic. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.Compensation:$25 - $30 hourlyResponsibilities:Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Immediately reports any discrepancies to the Fleet Manager.Ensures compliance with all fleet processesUnder general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipmentUtilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairsPerforms service calls for emergency breakdownsConducts safety checks on vehiclesCompletes required paperwork utilizing the fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair timesReviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection ReportsMaintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications:Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements:Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record. (CDL preferred)Must be at least 21 years of ageLegally eligible to work in the United StatesAbility to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodationsSuccessfully complete pre-employment drug screen and background checkPhysical Requirements:Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens.
