Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB FUNCTION: This position should be a person who has the total knowledge of most repairs, maintenance, and overhaul of equipment, requires minimal supervision to complete task and performs mentorship/training to lower level mechanics. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Performs PM and Post Trip Inspections.  2. Performs complete engine overhaul. 3. Completes differential, transmission and driveline repairs.4. Complete inspection and repair of all special equipment. 5. Major electrical repair. 6. May be required to work temporarily at field locations maintaining/repairing equipment.7. Performs other duties as directed. QUALIFICATIONS: Diesel shop experience, including technical school preferred. High school education or trades school preferredSpecific exposure to an equipment or maintenance environment.Knowledge of basic hand tools for general equipment repair.Equipment systems experience a plus. Must have effective oral and written communications effective listening skills, and ability to interact with others. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication ideal.
