Job Summary:

A Diesel Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role ensures all machinery operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting operational productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain repair logs and service records accurately.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Order necessary parts and maintain inventory as needed.
• Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or related role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various conditions.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic systems.
• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
