Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOpened in 1964 as the only skilled-care facility in Minnesota exclusively for men, Mission Nursing Home provides short-term and long-term care for up to 65 residents who may be experiencing a variety of physical and behavioral health issues. Services include skilled nursing care, physical, occupational and speech therapies, nutrition assistance, and social and recreational activities to help residents attain the optimum quality of life.Responsibilities: Meal preparation Food preparation and proper storageAssist maintaining all health code regulations in kitchenEnsure that all food is presented in an attractive and appetizing mannerPrepare texture modified dietsPrepare therapeutic modified dietsProvide excellent customer service to residents and guestsAssist with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areasFollow all safety and sanitation proceduresSpecial Features/RequirementsPositive attitude and excellent customer service skillsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to follow recipes Understanding of basic cooking techniquesReliable means of transportation to and from workOne year cooking experience minimumPhysical Requirements (based on essential functions):Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Each day is spent standing 80% of the time, walking 20% of the time and sitting 0% of the time.This position requires infrequent stooping, bending and squatting. On a frequent basis, may be required to reach at, above or below shoulder level.Compensation and Benefits:Pay starting at 22.50/hour depending of qualifications and experience.
