We are committed to excellence in patient care and creating positive healing environments for all who enter our facilities.Role OverviewAs a Dietary Cook you'll play an essential role in our patients' recovery journey by preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals in a healthcare setting. This position combines culinary expertise with healthcare standards to support our therapeutic environment.Must be able to pass on-site drug screen and background check.Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & ServicePlan and execute timely meal service according to facility schedulesPrepare meals following standardized recipes and therapeutic diet requirementsMonitor food quality and temperature throughout preparation and serviceCalibrate and maintain kitchen equipment, including thermometersAdapt menus and portions based on dietary restrictions and nutritional needsSafety & SanitationMaintain immaculate cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areasFollow all food safety and sanitation protocolsEnsure proper food storage and labelingMonitor and record food temperaturesMaintain clean and organized work stationsTeam CollaborationCoordinate with dietary staff for meal planning and preparationCommunicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient dietary needsParticipate in menu planning and inventory managementRequired QualificationsPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsReliable transportationPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in healthcare food serviceKnowledge of therapeutic dietsExperience with large-scale food preparation Schedule12-hour shiftsDay shiftsWeekend rotation requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive PayStarting at $13 per hourProfessional GrowthOn-the-job trainingSupportive team environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsCapable of lifting and carrying up to 50 poundsManual dexterity for food preparationAbility to work in varying temperature environmentsPhysical stamina for fast-paced kitchen workPerimeter Behavioral Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees can thrive.
