This position will work 3, 12-hour shifts per week, and will include weekends and holidays. Job SummaryPrepares and cooks all entrees, vegetables, starches, and soups for the patient and cafeteria food service according to standardized recipes, with the goals of providing high quality food service and achieving a positive dietary image in the perception of the patient, employee, and community.Essential Functions• Moves throughout the facility and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver dietary services as assigned.• Performs the manual and administrative responsibilities of this position according to hospital and department policy and procedure.• Demonstrates working knowledge of patient diets and understands basic food service regulations.• Follows recipes appropriately.• Works cooperatively with unit staff and ancillary departments.• Demonstrates commitment to Pomerene Hospital’s Values.• Delivers service that builds customer satisfaction.EducationDegree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/PreferredHigh School Diploma/GED General Studies PreferredAdditional InformationExperienceYears of Experience Type of Experience Required/Preferred1-3 Hospitality/Food Services - PreferredCertification & LicensuresServe Safe certification preferred
