With a commitment to excellence, we prioritize the well-being and comfort of those we serve. We have an immediate need for a PT to FT Shift Cook. ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook meals according to planned menus, dietary requirements, and portion standards.Ensure that all meals are nutritious, appetizing, and meet dietary guidelines.Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas.Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed.Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.Collaborate with dietary team members to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs.Assist with special events and catering services as required.QualificationsProven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in healthcare or senior living.Knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special dietary needs.Understanding of food safety principles and regulations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience.Opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.Supportive work environment with a focus on teamwork and resident care.Equal Opportunity Employer: The Sunshine Terrace is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.Overall Scheduling NeedsWe pride ourselves in being able to reasonably accommodate our employees scheduling needs. In general, Shifts can range from 5:30 am to 1:00pm and from 1:00 pm to approx. 7:30 pm. Our staff understands that our residents need 24/7 care and are willing to work holidays and weekends on a rotating schedule.QUALIFICATIONS Being on time. Absenteeism and late arrival to shifts are not tolerated. Must be at least 16 years old. Several months of related work experience. Willingness to learn and be trained.Requires Food Handlers permit or "ServSafe" certification within one month of hire.
