Dietitian – Inpatient at Mayo Clinic

DescriptionIncorporate the nutrition care process: nutrition assessment/re-assessment nutrition diagnosis nutrition intervention (food and/or nutrient delivery nutrition education nutrition counseling and coordination of nutrition care) and nutrition monitoring/evaluation primarily in a hospital setting.Works collaboratively with colleagues throughout the enterprise to develop MNT practice guidelines and/or protocols curriculum and nutrition education materials. Precepts dietetic interns; mentors and trains new staff (clinic and hospitals). Works collaboratively with providers and other allied health care staff to develop and deliver programs and services that promote both therapeutic and wellness initiatives. Researches best practice to ensure effective interventions and measures outcomes of interventions. Demonstrates effective public speaking/presentation skills.QualificationsBachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics Nutrition or related field; advanced degree preferred. Completion of Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited internship or approved training program. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or obtained within 3 months of hire. Minnesota: licensed dietitian through the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice. Wisconsin: certified dietitian through the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.State level credentialing/licensing must be obtained within 3 months of hire.Must be able to travel between sites per department needs.Previous clinical nutrition experience and nutrition-related specialty certifications are preferred.
