We understand that the client experience begins with us and were committed to empowering our employees to continually innovate our services to earn clients for life.About the RoleAs a Digital Recorder youll be responsible for capturing and preserving verbatim records of depositions and other judicial proceedings. Whether in-person or remote youll use specialized recording software and hardware to produce high-quality audio/video documentation. Youll also administer oaths create detailed annotations for transcription and ensure smooth and professional proceedings.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately record legal proceedings using advanced audio/video equipmentAdminister oaths and maintain control as an independent authorityAnnotate essential testimony for transcription and playback as neededManage and secure exhibits backup files and complete job-specific worksheetsMaintain professionalism and build effective relationships with clients and legal professionalsPerform timely preparation for assignments and respond to communications efficientlyWhat Youll NeedSkills: Strong attention to detail ability to meet deadlines and excellent problem-solving skills under pressureExperience: Familiarity with court procedures legal terminology and digital recording technology is preferredCertifications: Ability to obtain a Notary Public license and AAERTs Certified Electronic Reporter (CER) certificationTechnical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and touch typing (minimum 60 wpm with accuracy)Education: Associates degree in legal studies communications or audio/visual technology is a plusPersonal Attributes: Self-motivated professional demeanor and adaptability to work in various environmentsOther Requirements: Valid drivers license reliable transportation and the ability to pass a national criminal background checkWhat Success Looks LikeProducing accurate and high-quality audio recordings for transcription and reviewDemonstrating exceptional professionalism with clients and colleaguesExceeding quality control benchmarks and contributing to efficient office operationsWork EnvironmentThis role involves a mix of office-based work and travel to legal proceedings (up to a 75-mile radius from your location).
