We are seeking dedicated cafeteria workers with cooking and food prep experience to join our Dining Hall team. Southern Prep is a 125-year-old boarding school located in Camp Hill, AL, about 30 minutes outside of the Auburn/Opelika, AL area. Our school dining staff serves three (3) meals daily: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Job Duties and Tasks:Assist Dining Hall Manager with food prep, serving, and clean-up as neededOrganize the feeding of all personnel in such a manner as to expedite the operation and avoid delaysMust be familiar with all rules and regulations concerning safety, fire, and health concernsArranges food and beverage items (e.g., placing in steam tables, a la carte trays, filing racks, etc.) for the purpose of serving meals to students and staffWork closely with Dining Hall Manager to coordinate the specifics of special meals such as guest meals, to go meals, and the likeProvide counts for a meal, coordinate serving food and seconds, attend to special needs such as dietary restrictionsHelp oversee the maintenance and sanitation of the dining hall equipment and furnishingsAssist with dish and utensil cleaning after every mealWork cooperatively with other staff membersAll other duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentMust have flexible availability during the week (Monday-Sunday)MUST have a clean background and be able to work around minors
