Role: Direct Client - Inventory Planner - Retail ( Mid to Sr level ) Location: Hybrid Seattle WA Job Description This job contributes to Clients success by leading the development of assigned business units inventory forecasts which drive the planning processes that support the attainment of sales forecasts and established customer service objectives. Models and acts in accordance with clients guiding principles. Tops Skills Needed Top Candidate Skills & How Applied Years of Experience 1 Skill: Highly Analytical Application: 1 Yrs 2 Skill: Strong Technical skills Application: ERP Microsoft Office Excel 2 Yrs 3 Skill: Replenishment background Application: Progressive supply chain experience and knowledge of inventory or planning system tools including store supply replenishment and store allocation processes 1 Yrs Degree or certifications required: 4-year degree in supply chain or related business field Years experience: 3-5 years of experience in supply chain and planning environment Technology requirements: Microsoft Office Suite Oracle BI (Optional) O9 or IMS or some Inventory planning tool Required background Skills Attention to detail Strong communication (written and verbal) Knowledge of inventory planning replenishment planning Store allocation processes Store supply replenishment store supply process Analytical knowledge Ability to clearly and concisely communicate Quantitative and problem-solving skills Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Work independently Proficiency in ERS (Excel PowerPoint) and has the ability to present Ability to work in ambiguous enviorments Daily Responsibilities: Sets inventory strategies and service level strategies; recommends optimum inventory levels and provides options to trade off cost vs. service level targets Partners with cross functional teams to create strategies and implements assortment plan changes that reduce waste and increase margin Identifies opportunities to improve store sales and implements appropriate inventory strategies through analysis recommends store-focused solutions to meet store sales and financial targets Uses experience insights and data to anticipate trend shifts and puts preventative measures in place Coordinates with others in response to multiple competing demands to ensure work is completed in a timely manner Understands necessary audience including leaders and tailors communication to promote collaborative responses Gathers inputs from cross functional teams to craft collaborative messaging that accurately conveys complex situations Interaction level with team: Highly interactive with cross functional teams Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Nordstroms retail or large matrixed organizations Progressive supply chain experience Develop strategic plans Project management skills Disqualifiers: Job hopping Poorly formatted resume/typos Large gaps in resumes Unable to meet hybrid requirements Key Skills Inventory Control,Continuous Improvement,Pivot tables,SAP,Supply Chain Experience,Microsoft Dynamics Navision,SAP EWM,SAP S/4HANA,Microsoft Excel,Production Planning,Retail Math,MRP Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
